This meme has several deep meanings for me:

1.

It's a gift to a very dear person that I thought she was dead. At first I wanted to remind Gnewi and her art with a smaller work, but then there was and will be more, cause I´m really happy that I am wrong and she is back now!

2.

I want to give hope and courage to all who want to draw because I know a few people, who do not believe in themselves, who are afraid to fail or wishes to draw but do not take the time to do so! I did not draw anything for fifteen years and I regret this wasted time SO MUCH! I am happy to see how I am improving but every day I ask myself how far I would be today, what I could do now, if I had not forgotten myself!
Therefore:

At some point you will look back and regret the missed time ... OR you have drawn and you look back to that moment now, compare your progress and you will see that you have reached your goals from that time long ago and have new, bigger goals and plans. Reachable goals that you can not imagine in a dream today! ... But it will happen! And it will continue to happen and keep going, as long as you just do what you want to do and do not let anyone, especially not yourself, put you off!
 
My tips to improve you are the following:

 Look at the art of others more in the sense of "what can I learn here?" as "Oh man, I will never be so good!"!
 Take a deep and closer look at particularly pleasing pictures and study the complete works in all imaginable single steps. Read about it or try to figure out how to do something exactly, and just try individual techniques yourself. You'll also find some videos or tutorials for special techniques.
 Observe everything and everyone in your environment who could serve as a reference for what you want to draw. Meentime I see all people as anatomy references, everywhere, no matter if in RL or TV. I constantly notice how I observe and study the simplest things. Individual colors in a complex of colors, features of ears, hands or elbows ... the more often you consciously see and recognise something, the more your mind becomes inculcate on how something looks right!
 Do not compare too much with really great artists. Better look back on the process of YOUR first and last work!
 There is a mass of free reference material and tools to create it. Do not be shy to use them! The more you practice with references because you feel insecure, the more you learn about it, and the more correct lines you´ll make. At some point you will be able to do it without refs.
 Last but most important: practice practice practice practice practice practice!

I know it´s not easy and I also struggle a lot, but as long as you can see end enjoy your single improvement steps, everything is right!

3.

For the two reasons I have decided to make a "draw this again meme" every year around this area and thus make a series and a small presentation of my improvements. For myself! for Gnewi, who has come to know me since the post of her own presentation of improvement ...
